Welcome to Compassion Counseling. Life doesn't always go the way we expect, and it can be difficult to manage anxiety, sadness, or the weight of a loss on your own. If you're feeling worn down or unsure what to do next, it can help to talk with someone who takes the time to understand your situation. I offer a calm, respectful space to sort through what's going on and identify what might actually help. My work is practical and evidence-based, focused on helping people find relief and a clearer path forward.
I grew up in Hong Kong for much of my childhood, an experience that shaped my appreciation for people, cultures, and the many ways individuals navigate challenge and change. During seasons of grief and uncertainty in my own life, I learned how important it is to feel both understood and supported. That balance is what I aim to offer my clients—a space for understanding, reflection, and steady movement forward.
My approach is collaborative and practical, rooted in evidence-based tools such as CBT, DBT, and resilience-building strategies. I work with individuals, children, teens, and families, tailoring care to each person's needs. Whether working one-on-one or involving the whole family, I aim to create a supportive space where clients feel understood and able to build skills that support daily life.
Individual support for anxiety, depression, anger, family stress, trauma and life transitions.
Support for children, parents, and families through individual, parenting, and family sessions.
Each person's values, background, and beliefs are respected and valued. Christian or faith-based counseling is available when requested.
Do you offer a free consultation?
A free initial consultation is available if you would like to ask questions or discuss whether counseling is a good fit. Clients are also welcome to schedule directly through the client portal without a consultation.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session focuses on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to counseling, and discussing your goals. We'll also review consent, policies, and next steps so you know what to expect moving forward
Do you see clients in person or virtually?
Sessions are offered both in person and virtually. Virtual sessions are available for clients of all ages. Children age 11 and under are seen in person only.
Do you work with couples?
Couples counseling is not offered at this time. Co-parent counseling is available as a part of family support services.
What ages do you work with?
Counseling is available for children ages 5 and up, adolescents, and adults.
How long are sessions, and how often do we meet?
Appointments are typically 55 minutes. Frequency is usually weekly or every other week at the start of counseling and may change over time.
Do you accept insurance?
I am in network with most major insurance plans. For clients who are out of network, a superbill can be provided. A prompt-payment discount is also available to help keep costs manageable.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be subject to a fee.
Counseling here isn't just about feeling better—it's about building a foundation of support so you can move forward with confidence and hope. If this sounds like a good fit for you, you're welcome to schedule a first appointment directly or reach out for a brief consultation—whichever feels most helpful. I want to make getting connected with counseling as straightforward and comfortable as possible.
